Natasha Stasiuk from Humber College is doing great in the Cycle Challenge!! When Natasha is not biking on her stationary bike, she can be found on the golf course, where she plays 3-4 times a week. Natasha’s favourite quote is “She turns her can’t into cans and her plans into dreams!”

Grant Vahi was very excited about this year's Cycle Challenge because he enjoys riding his bike to stay active. He also stays active by participating in Five pin bowling, cross country skiing and Bocce. Grant's favourite memory with Special Olympics Ontario was winning a provincial medal with his friends. He believes that everyone should “Try your best and don’t give up!”

Kealyn Cherwaiko from Georgetown recently signed up for our cycle challenge!! Kealyn has already been doing lots of biking this summer and is excited to continue riding her yellow bike. Kealyn likes to stay active by biking and has just started track and field with Special Olympics Ontario. Kealyn isn’t new to the world of track and field as she just won her 800m track and field event at her school!! She is excited for her future with Special Olympics Ontario and hopes to meet new friends.

We are excited to have Gillian Mchugh from Peterborough, Ontario participate in our Cycle Challenge this year! Gillian is excited to get outside and “Have fun”. Gillian also enjoys playing Basketball, Floor hockey, Swimming and Soccer.

Meet Madison Cray! This year, Madison is participating in 3 Special Olympics sports in addition to the RYC Cycle Challenge. She hopes that she can bike, walk or swim at least 5km every day. Madison’s favourite Special Olympics memory was at a basketball tournament, where she scored her very first basket. She also noted that she was lucky enough to meet the Toronto Raptor mascot and win a Raptors Jersey!

Justin Campbell might be tough competition during this year's Cycle Challenge. Justin expressed that he rides 200 plus km a week!! Along with the RYC Cycle Challenge, Justin also looks forward to competing again in Cross Country Skiing. His favourite memory with Special Olympics Ontario occurred during the Special Olympics Canada National Games in 2020, where Justin won medals in cross country skiing in his hometown of Thunder Bay, Ontario.
